Disaster Relief
ESA South defines itself as ‘a Disaster Relief Contractor, masquerading as a General Contractor’. This is because while we perform the day to operations of providing construction services for the Federal Government, we are always maintaining a state of readiness in the event that a Federal Disaster is declared. ESA South distinguishes itself in the disaster response industry by its ability to immediately respond to the needs of our clients. Our past performance clearly illustrates that we have the wherewithal, resources, and capacity to handle the response and recoveries of the most trying disaster events. ESA has a long successful history of supporting the emergency requirements of the Federal Government during natural disasters.
ESA South began its career in Disaster Relief as a blue roof Prime Contractor for the USACE in Hurricane’s Charlie (2008), Ivan (2004) and Hurricanes Katrina and Wilma (2005). ESA South assisted with Hurricane Sandy Debris Removal and Management Services for the New York District USACE in 2013.
In 2017 ESA South was a prime contractor for the Blue Roof Mission after Hurricane Irma.
Although each natural or man-made disaster and the subsequent recovery operations are unique, a comprehensive and systematic approach to the recovery activities is of intrinsic benefit to all parties involved. Utilization of the Management/ Operations Plan and the associated plans for Resource Management, Technical Approach, Geographic Area Management, Quality Control, Site Safety, Environmental compliance, Provide the structure necessary to ensure successful recovery operations.
ESA South’s key personnel are very experienced in responding to the needs of a mission. We will continue to respond to the needs of State and Federal Government as the need arises.

Our goal on every job is to ensure that all work is completed safely, with appropriate tools, equipment, and methods as is implemented in complete compliance with OSHA 1926-1910 and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Requirements Manual (EM385-1-1).

EXPERTISE
ESA South’s Team is composed of personnel and subcontractors with extensive experience in the catastrophe response. We are adept at mobilizing to areas with differing levels of regulatory oversight, infrastructure, and customs. We are accustomed to deploying into unknown and unusual circumstance and having to improvise solutions in order to be successful. At the highest levels in our companies are individuals experienced with database administration, workforce management, recruitment, project management, quality control, safety enforcement and certified payrolls.
